Press Play is a national tour that brings together and celebrates local media communities in cities across the United States. Press Play Hot Springs, our next stop on the tour, is taking place during the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival’s Filmmaker Forum.

What's the schedule? Press Play Hot Springs takes place Monday Oct 13th, from 3:30pm to 6:45pm:

• 3:30 PM - 4:00 PM Press Play Hot Springs Kick Off
  In the Press Play Hot Springs opening session, media makers of all kinds come together to kick off this collaborative afternoon of solutions-focused conversations about making meaningful media for and in the South. “Ideas in Action” wall and coffee & tea included!
   
• 4:00 - 4:45 PM Collaborative Breakout Sessions
  What’s working in Southern storytelling? What’s not? Creatives break into groups to answer fundamental questions that are driving the industry towards the future.
   
• 4:45 - 5:00 PM Pause for Sharing
  Group facilitators share with all attendees what they discussed and developed, focusing on practical solutions.
   
• 5:00 - 5:45 PM Panel conversation
  Pressing Play on the Future: Storytelling at the Crossroads of Journalism, Doc Film, and Content Creation
   
• 5:45 PM - 6:45 PM Forum / Press Play Happy Hour
  Press Play Hot Springs and Forum participants keep the conversation going over drinks and snacks.

Even better: It takes place during the Hot Springs Documentary Film Festival’s Filmmaker Forum, which includes multiple days of programming, and you’re welcome to explore and attend in addition to the Press Play portion.
