Hot Docs Guide to Co-Production

Hot Docs is a Canadian film festival and not-for-profit organization dedicated to advancing and celebrating the art of documentary and creating production opportunities for documentary filmmakers. The world-renowned festival's Co-Production Guide is a terrific "co-pro" primer on the do's, don'ts, and secrets of successful documentary co-productions.

In the broadest sense, a co-production is a collaborative relationship between two or more parties to produce a project that benefits from the involvement of both of those parties.
